Monday, January 30, 2023

The travel and tourism sector in Kuwait witnessed an increase in business by about 75 percent during the year 2022.

The revenues of travel and tourism offices in Kuwait increased during the past year by about 338 percent to 276.7 million dinars, compared to 63.22 million in 2020 when the Corona crisis hit various countries of the world, including Kuwait. However, it is still about 10 percent lower than 2019 levels, when it reached about 308.18 million dinars before the Corona crisis caused a shock to the tourism sector.

The increasing interest for citizens and residents to travel after long periods of interruption is cited as the reason for the increase in revenue for this sector.

According to report, Turkey, Dubai and Cairo are the most preferred destinations for travelers on the upcoming national holidays.
