Indian Embassy celebrated Republic Day

Despite the chilling cold weather, 1000s of Indian nationals gathered at the Indian Embassy premise on Thursday morning to celebrate India's 74th republic Day. After two years of Virtual celebration, Indian Embassy in Kuwait celebrated the Republic Day of India with the participation of a large number of Indians from different walks of life.



Ambassador of India H.E. Dr Adarsh Swaika unfurled the tricolour National Flag at 9:00 am, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and the reading out of the Hon'ble President's Address to the Nation.



The event started by garlanding the Mahatma Gandhi Statue by Ambassador H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika.



Ambassador reminded the strong bilateral relationship between India and Kuwait. He also assured the Embassy's help to the Indian nationals living here in Kuwait. "The Embassy is always ready to render all help to our nationals. We have 24-hour WhatsApp numbers for your assistance. I am personally available during our weekly open house to listen to any of your unsolved issues," Ambassador Dr Adarsh Swaika said. He also commented on various services conducted by the Indian Associations in Kuwait.



Various school students and cultural groups, including Gujarathi Samarpan, Rhydhun group, Rhytham scape, Punjabi Bangra group and Muhammadee Scout of Bohra Community, performed colourful performances to mark Indian diversity.





Various Indian restaurants in Kuwait provided refreshments to the public who attended the celebrations.
