Salmiya Indian Model School conducted ‘Exploria’

Wednesday, January 25, 2023

On 19th January 2023, the students of Salmiya Indian Model School, organised a Science and Art exhibition in the school premises. A large number of students, of grades 6 to 9, actively participated in the event; exhibiting various projects and models on different subjects. The momentous occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Ibrahim Dashti, and the Director/Principal Dr. Anis Ahmad. Mr. Dashti, along with the Principal, went around observing the different models designed by the students and both were all ears to the description and demonstration given by the latter, explaining their innovative working models.

The core reason behind organizing such exhibitions and fairs is to provide a platform to students where they can implement the various scientific theories /methods, through these projects and models. It also helps to build the ability for teamwork and cooperation among students. The inspirational comment by Dr. Anis Ahmed, “Xploria was a wonderful exhibition organized by the middle and senior students. A great idea of learning by doing. Knowledge is useless unless it is applied in life”, is a great source of motivation to the young scientists.

The exhibition was also open to parents the following Saturday, January 21, 2023.
