Salmiya Indian Model School Organized Carnival

Salmiya Indian Model School organized a carnival on 20 December 2022. The event offered a full package of entertainment with encouraging activities, delicious food items and several programs. Teachers, students and the staff of the school conducted the fest in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Embassy under the able guidance of the Principal, Dr. Anis Ahmad along with the Vice Principal Senior, Ms. Sajitha Menon, Principal Primary, Ms. Jyothi Menon, Vice Principal Primary, Ms. Geeta and the Chief Accountant, Ms. Meharunisa. The Chief Guests were the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Kuwait, U. L. Mohammed Jauhar, his wife Ms. Nuzrath Mohammed Jauhar, Ms. Nilanthini Arulpiragasam, Dr. Sheikha Maimoona, the owner of SIMS and Mr. Ahmed Dashti.

The event was opened for the parents and students of SIMS to explore various on-stage programs and stalls like gaming stalls, face painting stalls, food stalls and several others. A book exhibition was also set up to introduce the children to a variety of books and to inculcate reading habit in them. Bewitching dance performances by the children of Sri Lankan embassy was spectacular. The traditional dance forms of India and Sri Lanka were a visual treat to the audience.

The grand carnival, greatly enjoyed by the parents and students alike, was an outcome of the sincere efforts of the teachers and students.
