Google Pay to launch in Kuwait by March

Google Pay electronic payment service will start its operation in Kuwait by March, local Arabic daily Al-Rai reported.

According to report, the Central Bank of Kuwait granted at least 3 banks the required permission to start Google pay service, which is an electronic payment service using Android device, including Huawei phones, Google Pixel and other compatible devices that run on the Chrome operating system.

The report added that the licensed banks would start activating the new Google Pay service at the beginning of March.

"Samsung Pay" and "Apple Pay" services for electronic payment are already active in Kuwait.
