I am today’s Woman

In the darkness,
they told us to crouch, but we won’t pay heed.
They would rule the world on their own,
but nothing would fill that huge void.
They thought we were needed for nothing,
but no, without us,
every existing being withered,
nothing but sorrow left to call its own.

Upon this they panicked,
and asked for a helping hand.
As always,
our motherly hearts took pity on them,
and we came back to make,
The World colourful and vibrant,
AGAIN.

In a pretty, sunny spring day,
colourful flowers shone and bloomed.
The humming of the bees, a sweet melody.
The dancing of sunshine, through the green, shady leaves.
But do not forget, a beautiful, gentle maiden,
so fair, all the elements of nature under her care.
Without me, the world would be a dark gray place.
And so, you query,
Who are you?
So vital and needed by every land to come.
And I answer, every atom of me shining,
The angel gifted by God, a WOMAN.
