FAIPS IGCSE Students Attend Red Arrows Event at British Embassy

FAIPS(DPS) believes in creating a wholesome educative experience for its students to widen their career prospects. In keeping with this tradition, the students of FAIPS-DPS IGCSE course attended a dinner on 21st November 2022 at the British Embassy to showcase the pathway to becoming a pilot or an Aeronautical Engineer.. Of the ten schools invited, FAIPS was the only Indian school to be extended this honour to participate. The attendees got a unique opportunity to interact with the Air Show pilots from Britain as part of the Red Arrows Aerobatics team.

FAIPS attendees consisting of 6 students, 3 each from IGCSE 3 and AS levels along with IGCSE coordinator, Mr. Vinish Viswambaran were ushered to their designated table. Each table had a special guest seated with them such as the British Ambassador, the CEO of Kuwait Airways, and the British Council Head, to name a few. FAIPS team had the honor of being seated with Kuwait Airways commercial pilot, Mr. Ahmad. As the event began with the Scottish Band ’Bags &Pipes’, two more guests joined the Faips team at their table viz Ms. Katrina, a photograph Analyzer and Mr. Cunningham, a pilot from the Red Arrows team. The event continued with speeches by the guests of honor followed by dinner, to leave everyone satisfied with their experience

As the events came to a close, the students left with the motivation to pursue a career in aeronautics. All their doubts and queries were satisfactorily answered by the guests. FAIPS students expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the British Embassy and the British Council for organising such a session. The students also thanked the Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, for being an inspiration and support for the laudable initiative that gives the students a wider perspective on career options.

It was a proud moment for Faips students that will remain a cherished memory for a long time.
