India International School Mangaf, Victory Emblazoned on football Pennant

Indeed, it’s a matter of immense pride for IISM as Our football team declared as runners-up when they took part in the prestigious “2nd FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FOR FOREIGN AND BILINGUAL SCHOOLS” which was conducted by THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, KUWAIT, and THE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION FOR PRIVATE EDUCATION in the sprawling stadium of Public Authority for youth and sports-Mubarak Al Kabir. 34 teams from different schools across Kuwait took part in this Championship and we were among the two Indian schools. This championship was held from 20th November 2022 to 27th November 2022.

India International School, Mangaf had to play three qualifying rounds to reach the semi-finals of the championship. Our team had a whopping victory with a delightful score of 6-0 defeating Kuwait International School to reach the Finals of the Championship where they were declared as the runners-up of the Championship Tournament.
It was a delightful and proud moment for the IISM football team to receive the Runners-up Award and a cash prize of KD 200 in presence of the Principal, K. V. Indulekha, Vice-Principal Saleem Kundungal and their coach Mr. T. Ramesh Kumar.

It was a flabbergasting achievement for Srihari of class 10, who was bestowed with the “HIGHEST SCORER AWARD” in the Championship.

It is exciting to know that IISM under the auspices of P. E teacher Mr. T. Ramesh Kumar journeying towards achieving laurels by relentless coaching of our young athletes in the intricacies of sports.

Director Malayil Moosa Koya, Principal, K. V. Indulekha, and Vice-Principal Saleem Kundungal congratulated the winners for their tremendous performance and instilled motivation and confidence in the budding champions to hone their potential and display sturdy resistance.
