Tamil community in Kuwait facilitated Prof. Manuel

Kuwait University Professor becomes one of the top Scientist in global scale!

Hailing from a small hamlet “Nattarkulam’ of Tirunelveli District, Tamilnadu State in India, Prof. Manuel grew up from a traditional agriculture family. His parents strongly believed in education and moved to Palayamkottai for better educational environment. With the constant encouragement of his parents, Prof. Manuel successfully completed his school education in St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School and graduated undergraduate and postgraduate education in Mathematics from St. Xavier’s College in Palayamkottai, Tamilnadu as a gold medalist. Later he moved IIT Chennai to accomplish his doctorate degree on ‘High Speed Computing’. Then he shifted his focus on computer science. He graduated a master program in computer science from University of Saskatchewan, Canada and PhD in computer science from University of Newcastle, Australia.





As an achiever in academic career, Prof. Manuel is bestowed with many awards notably ‘Best Teacher Award’ and ‘Distinguished Lecturer Award’ from Kuwait University, and ‘Industry Relationship Award’ from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. Apart from publishing more than hundred scientific articles in pre-revived journals on a global level, Prof. Manuel was the Principal Investigator for about fifteen scientific projects, and he is also in the editorial board for three internationally reputed journals.







As a multifaceted intellectual with simplicity, Prof. Manuel is very familiar among the Tamil community for his scintillating speech not only in Kuwait but in Australia whereby he is having his beloved family. His wife is a physician by profession, his son is an electronic engineer, his daughter is an accountant, and all are residing in their own home in Australia.







In order to honor Prof. Manuel for his achievement, the Tamil community in Kuwait organized a facilitation program on 4th November 2022 at ‘Dr. Abdul Kalam’ hall in Mangaf, Kuwait. Smt. Thamarai Raja was well anchored in the programme and Selvi Poonguzhali Vidyasakar enthralled the audience with her professional ‘Barathanatiyam’. Prominent dignitaries including Engrs. Inbathamizh Ilangovan, P. Sekar, Hameed, Santhakumar, Sivaranjani Siva, Sunil, Arul Selvan, Poets Sivasangaran, Vazha Nadan, Vidyasakar, Kavisai Sekar, Sathya, Sivamani and other well-wishers mainly Messrs. Thimmarayan, Ganesan, Anbarasan, Senthai Ravi, Mohammed Gouse, Vittukatti Mastan, Mannai Raja and Drs. Neelamani, Mahendran, and K. Kumar extended their heartfelt wishes to Prof. Manuel. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks by Poet Sivasangaran and served with a delicious dinner.
