Shaastrotsav - the much awaited Science & Technology event in Kuwait on Dec 16th

The stage is set for Tenth” Edition of Shaastrotsav – Festival of Science’, the most popular science & technology event in Kuwait.

The event is organized by NSS College of Engineering (Palakkad), Alumni Association (Kuwait Chapter) and IndiansInKuwait.com, leading online media in Kuwait.

The Tenth edition of ‘Shaastrotsav – Festival of Science’, will be held on 16th Dec 2022 at Zumerida Hall, Salwa, Kuwait with various events and contests for promoting interest & knowledge in mathematics, science & technology.

Interschool Science Exhibition, Rubik’s cube contest, Robotic Sumo Wrestling, Line Follower robotic competition, Abacus and many scientific and fun filled events are part of Shaastrotsav this year.

Oscar Winner Padma Shree Dr. Resul Pookutty will grace the occasion with his presence.

Microsoft, Land Rover, IDF and IDAK are the main event partners.

There are two events where the registration is still open.

MASTER STARTUP CLASSES:

To encourage and bring out Entrepreneurship skills in the child, a Master Startup class has been arranged based on the topic, “Make our planet a better place to live”.



Students of classes 10,11 & 12 can participate in the Master Startup Class session & the "elevator pitch" contest related to it.

Startup class will be online on Zoom Platform on 03-Dec-2022. Children will be informed about the contest during the session.

The Master class and the competition will be conducted by John Santhosh, CEO of GIEOM- the banking software. He has also set up BillionLives that helped disbursing over Rs 13000 crores to 24 million people in India. There are other credits to his account.

ASSP – Poster competition:

Children can also participate in the Poster Competition from American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).

The theme of the poster competition is Home Safety / Road Safety / Environment Protection

The Competition is available for Juniors from Class V to VIII & for Seniors, from class IX to XII.

Participants can submit a maximum of 2 posters on A4 or A3 size paper. The posters should genuine, and no copyright infringement is permitted.

Hard copy of completed posters shall be submitted at the dedicated reception counter at the Shaastrotsav venue on 16 December 2022 by 09.30 a.m. with the following information on the back side of poster, Participant’s Full Name/ Class/ School Name / Participant's Civil ID Number/ Contact number.

The venue will be open to public from 10 AM to 7 PM 16-Dec-2022, at Zumerida Hall, Salwa, Kuwait. There is no entry fee.
