Sunday, November 27, 2022

The 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, scheduled from January 8th to 10th at Indore in Madhya Pradesh, is a great opportunity for the Indians living in Kuwait.

This is the first PBD celebration after four years, as the previous one was held virtually due to the Covid pandemic in 2021. This year PBD is celebrated with the theme of "Diaspora: Reliable Partners for India's progress in Amrit Kaal".

According to the Ministry of External Affairs' data, more than 3.2 crore Indians are currently staying abroad as Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs). The PBD is celebrated to recognize the overseas Indians who have contributed to the development of India.

The Embassy of India in Kuwait has urged all community leaders, Indian Associations, professionals and businessmen to utilise this opportunity and attend the Pravasi Divas.

The NRIs in Kuwait will get an opportunity to network with NRIs in all the countries of the world, which can enhance their business and professional links. You would also get an opportunity to meet fellow Indians in your domain from other countries. Business people and professionals can utilise this opportunity to enhance their business and professional career or to enter into new areas of opportunities.

If you are travelling as a minimum of 10 people together, then you can avail group discount on registrations which is available till 30 November 2022. The Associations and community leaders in Kuwait can make use of this group registration facility to get the benefits. For the group registration, minimum number of people in the group is 10 and one person from the group will have to register on the website as a group coordinator. Upon registration by the group coordinator Embassy of India in Kuwait will share a coupon code which will enable the group member to avail special discount. Participants are advised to complete their registration and book the accommodation through portal after successful registration at the earliest due to availability of limited hotel rooms. The attendees also have an opportunity to meet all government officials and various Ministers during the Three-day session at PBD.

As the theme suggests, the NRIs are the Reliable Partners for India's progress in Amrit Kaal. However, for the NRIs in Kuwait, this is also an opportunity to extend their network with fellow NRIs and share their views with the Government of India including various ministers, the Prime Minister and President of our country.
