New Indian School conducted “World Animal Day” 2022

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated – Mahatma Gandhi.

World Animal Day special assembly was conducted by the students of New Indian School, Grade 7 on 5th October 2022. In order to acknowledge the importance of animals, world animal day is celebrated across the globe on 4th October. This day is also known as World Animal Welfare Day. This day is celebrated to raise the awareness about the importance of animals in a person’s life.

The assembly commenced with a welcome speech by Mehwish Shihab, followed by the Quran recitation and School prayer by Majdi Abdul Hameed and Hamza Louai respectively. It was followed by the Kuwait National Anthem. A short speech on ‘World Animal Day’ was delivered by Amnah Radhi. The news for the day was given by Fathima Rishfa covering the Local, International and Sports news. A short skit on the theme ‘World Animal Day’ was presented by Mohammed faraz, Mohammed Ahamed, Mohammed Tameem, Eman Patrick, Yashwanth Hemachandran, Arya Nayak, Hamza Louai Ahamed Ismail and Faisal Ghazi showing the importance of Endangered and extinct species of the Earth.

A beautiful group song named ‘Save the Planet Earth’ sung by Rithika S. Nair, Amnah Radhi, Mehwish Shihab, Aseel Ahamed Sami Jumah, Yashwanth Hemachandran, Mohammed Faraz, Emmanuel K. Bob and Eman Patrick. Then the tips to ace the exam was presented by Rithika Sunil Nair and Aseel Ahamed Sami Jumah. In the end there was the Indian national anthem to complete the assembly.

The program concluded with an address by the principal where she appreciated the efforts done by the students and teachers. In the speech, the principal explained the reasons of why these animals became endangered and go extinct.
