FAIPS-DPS Entrepreneurs @ Comfest 2022

After a ruthful and protracted pandemic, FAIPS celebrated its Commerce Department festival, ‘COMFEST 2022’ with enthusiasm on Saturday, 29th October 2022 in the premises of the Senior and the Primary blocks of the school.

The FAIPS Commerce Fest aims to polish the pecuniary skills of students by giving them an unparalleled hands-on experience in Business, Accounting and Economics. The students of Grades 11 and 12 along with students of IGCSE organized the fest under the able guidance of the Commerce Department headed by Ms. Neeraza Ajay Mani. The students were divided into 12 teams. Each team had its own separate food and game stalls. It was a truly wonderful festival, with an eclectic mix of food ranging from palatable snacks like Vada Pavs and sausage skewers to the deliciously spicy ramen and pink sauce pasta and mouthwatering desserts like Brownies and Cinnamon Rolls.

The event scheduled on a PTM day saw a profusion of parents with their families, students and even teachers indulging themselves in a blithe and effervescent atmosphere of the activity. The experience was precisely edifying for the students as it taught them myriad skills including budgeting, pricing, marketing and sales, time management, teamwork, business ethics and making the books of accounts.

The parents praised the efforts of the School Commerce Department who worked sedulously to make FAIPS COMFEST 2022 a truly magnificent occasion. While visiting the stalls, the Principal Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, appreciated the students and teachers for organizing such an educational activity that enhances a diverse skillset of the students. He added that FAIPS believes in the overall development of its students than their mere academic performance.

It was indeed a memorable day for parents, students and teachers alike.
