Ambassador hosted reception onboard Indian naval ships

Ambassador of India His Excellency Mr. Sibi George and Captain Sarvpreet Singh of the visiting Indian naval ship, hosted a reception on board INS TIR on Wednesday October 5th.

Number of Ambassadors of various countries, Senior Officers from Kuwait Navy, Senior Officers of Indian Navy, other diplomats and guests attended the reception on board the ship at Shuwaikh port.

The Guest of honour of the evening, His Excellency Brigadier General Ahmed Mohammed Al Bati, Brigadier General (Operations), Kuwait Naval Force graced the ceremonial event along with Ambassador of India to Kuwait, H.E. Shri Sibi George and Captain of INS TIR, Captain Sarvpreet Singh, Captain of INS SUJATA, Commander Randip Ghosh, Captain of ICGS SARATHI, Commandant Paritosh Pathak.

Ambassador Shri Sibi George, in his speech, thanked Kuwaiti leadership and Brigadier General Ahmed Mohammed Al Bati, Brigadier General Operations and his team for the excellent arrangements and for the support extended to the visiting team.

“This important ship visit is reflective of the growing bilateral partnership between India and Kuwait in all sectors, particularly in the field of defence cooperation,” Ambassador said.



The visit of these three Ships INS TIR, INS SUJATA and Indian Coast Guard Ship SARATHI to Kuwait signifies India’s commitment to establish cooperative partnership with friendly nations of the Indian ocean region and beyond to address maritime challenges together, Ambassador added.

The Ships of First training Squadron of Indian Navy - INS TIR and INS SUJATA along with Indian Coast guard Ship SARATHI arrived at Shuwaikh Port for a training exchange visit.
