23,000 liquor bottles seized at Shuwaik port

Kuwait customs foiled an attempt to smuggle nearly 23,000 bottles of alcohol and other contraband trying to smuggle to the country by port. The items seized at the port of Shuwaikh are estimated at a market value of about one and a half million Kuwaiti dinars.

The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, and Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development Fahd Al-Shariaan expressed their thanks and appreciation to the officers on duty for their sincere efforts in successfully seizing the contraband.
