Kuwait Catholic congress – KCC Celebrated “Onam”

The Harvest Festival & Cultural Festival of Kerala “Onam” , celebrated the Kuwait Catholic congress – KCC , the association of Syro-Malabar community residing in the state of Kuwait on Friday at Abbasiya.Mr. Roshy Augustine , The Minister of Water resources , Govt . Of Kerala inaugurated the function in the presence of large quantity of association members.

In the inaugural session presided by Mr. Anto Mathew Kumbilumoottil, the president of KCC and Mr. Mathew Jose Chempathil Vattapillil , General Secretary of KCC rendered the welcome speech and Mr. Paul Chacko Paikatt extended the vote of thanks to all.A grand reception was arranged for the chief guest Mr. Roshy Augustine , The Minister of Water resources , Govt . Of Kerala.

The function started with a 'Ghoshayatra' - a procession to the place of event in the presence of minister. The procession contained with “Chendamelam , Thalappoli, Pulikali, Vettakkaran” and many things on the traditional way . Delicious “Onam Sadya” was the one another highlight of the Onam celebration that consists of pure vegetarian with many items.

Benny Parekattu puthenpurayil, Roy Cherian Kanicheril, Aju Thomas Kuttikal, Jacob Antony Valiyaveedan, Binoy Varghese, Roy John Poovathinkal, Jaison Ouseph Perepadan, Sunil Soni Veliyathumalil, Sunil Chacko Pawamchira, Anoop Jose Chennat, Akhila Nibin, Shaji Joseph, Binu Ezharath, Soyus Tom Plathottam , Shimsen Vitus Paravummel , Shinu Jacob, Marina Joseph, Jinson Mathew , Joseph Michael, Binoj, Binoy Joseph, Dipin Mathew were headed the different coordination committee team . Irin Mariya Mathew, Melona Joseph and Mareena Joseph ,were the Anchors of the programme .
