Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers and the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour them The New Indian School, Mangaf Primary Section celebrated Grandparents Day on 25th September 2022.

The grandparents were welcomed with reverential salute by the Student Council and with roses by the small kids. The event began with a prayer to the Lord, seeking His blessings. The students extended a warm welcome. An enthralling performance by students left the grandparents spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized.

The function started with welcoming the grandparents followed by classical dance performance. The Primary Section students beautifully sang a song. Then our little one dedicated a sweet song to dadima.

Appropriate music and enthusiastic grandparent-grandchild combinations made these events runaway hits with all those present. Memorable pictures of students with their grandparents were displayed on the projector to tune up the event.

After this, the Principal Mrs. Anita Sadanand’s address left everyone speechless. The School Staff also interacted on a one-to-one basis with the guests. The general mood was one of exultation and everyone seemed truly happy.

The grandparents were called on the stage to share their experiences.

Our Vice Principal Mrs. Jaya, proposed the vote of thanks and congratulated the students for putting up scintillating performances for their grandparents.

It was a successful event indeed, and the School as always would be pleased to organize many such more events.
