1,842 traffic accidents in last one week

The Kuwait roads witnessed 1,842 traffic accidents within a week, the traffic department informed. About 257 accident cause injuries to human beings while the rest of them were limited to material damage.

Traffic department issued about 26,173 violations during the past one week, from 24 to 30 of September. During the period, authorities seized 32 juveniles for driving vehicles without driving licenses, seized 43 vehicles and 79 bicycles for violations and referred 44 violators to the Traffic Detention Center for committing Serious offences. 18 wanted persons were also arrested during the week in various traffic campaigns.

The General Directorate of Traffic called on all citizens and residents to abide by the traffic rules and pay attention while driving.
