Kuwait Malayali Catholic Association (KMCA) – BDK Kuwait Chapter Joint Blood Donation Drive

Kuwait Malayali Catholic Association (KMCA) and Blood Donors Kerala Kuwait Chapter organized a joint blood donation drive at Adan Cooperative Blood Transfusion Center on 16 September,2022, to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of KMCA.


The camp witnessed an impressive response from the association's members and from the public as well. 60 successful donations were accomplished in the camp. The donors were honored with certificates of appreciation by the organizers.KMCA, an organization formed in the year 1972 is one of the oldest Indian associations in Kuwait who remained steadfast to socio-welfare activities since inception. The vision of KMCA to spread the message of voluntary blood donation in their golden jublilee year was realized by conducting a successful blood donation camp.

The camp was formally inaugurated by KMCA Advisory Board Chairman Rajan Thottathil. He highlighted the fact that the preparations for the blood donation camp have opened groundbreaking possibilities by community outreach programs to promote voluntary blood donation. KMCA President Daison chaired the meeting and briefed the noteworthy contributions of the association in the past and especially during the covid 19 pandemic time.

Shanti Sunny, the General Secretary of KMCA welcomed the gathering while KMCA Golden Jubilee Convener Renjith Johny, advisory board member K.J John, Treasurer Jackson George felicitated the blood donors. Jithin Jose thanked the donors and the guests. KMCA was honoured with a memento for their social services and exemplary skills in the execution of the blood donation camp; a memento was presented by Biji Murali ,BDK.

BEC Exchange and Badar Al Samaa Medical center; the business partners of BDK Kuwait chapter, sponsored the blood donation drive.BDK members Nalinakshan, Sophy Rajan, Beena ,Jolly, Yamuna Reghubal, Jayesh, Niyas, Shiju and KMCA members Sojan, Roshan,Robin, Robi Mathew and Wincent volunteered their services to the successful execution of the donation camp.
