Combine PAM and demographic commission to reduce unskilled workers

The government is considering to combine the Public Authority of Manpower (PAM) and the demographic commission to a single entity because of their similar function and shared goals. These two also will be under the supervision of one minister.

This procedure will ensure the connection of the decisions of PAM and its issuance of licenses along with stipulating limits to the needs of companies and institutions within a framework that fixes the demographic imbalance, the local daily Kuwait Times reported.

The focus will be to decrease unskilled workers, reduce inflated workers, and will provide better understanding between private and government sectors, it added.
