Two people arrested with drugs worth 3 million Kuwaiti Dinar

In one of the biggest drug seize in the country, authorities arrested two people with a large quantity of various drugs, whose market value is estimated to be more than 3 million Kuwaiti dinars. Officials also seized firearms and ammunition from them.

According to a statement, General Administration for Narcotics Control received an information about two people smuggling large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances into the country with the intention of trafficking. Upon search, authorities found a big garage in one of the accused residence, which contains more than a tons of Lyrica tablets and tons of other drugs including 35 kilos of chemical, 18 kilos of Shabu, 2 kilos of hashish, and 1 kilo Of lyrica powder, 3 kilos of marijuana, 2000 Captagon tablets. Officials also seized 2 Kalashnikov-type machine guns, in addition to 4 pistols and various ammunition without a license.

The two were transferred to the General Department for Drug Control to take legal measures against them.
