IMA Kuwait Organizes Condolence Meeting in Memory of Maulana Jalaluddin Umari

Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait, organized a condolence meet at Jamiatul Islah Auditorium in Kuwait on 2nd September 2022 in the memory of departed Scholar Maulana Jalaluddin Umri who passed away on 27th August 2022 in New Delhi, India.

Maulana Jalaluddin Umri was a renowned Scholar and author of many books. He wrote more than 63 books in Urdu Language which have been translated into various languages of the world like English, Arabic, Turkish, Hindi and many other regional languages of India. He had wholeheartedly dedicated himself to the work. He was a huge inspiration to many people in India. He was a leading member of many National level boards like Muslim Personal Law Board, etc.

Dr. Razi ul Islam Nadvi, scholar from India participated in the condolence meeting through Zoom and took the audience through the timeline of the work carried out by Late Maulana Jalaluddin Umri, specifically highlighting the work carried out in the field of Islamic literature. Many Kuwaiti dignitaries also expressed their views on this occasion and praised his work. Prominent among them were Shaikh Abdullah al Hudaib, Dr.Abdullah Suleman al Ateeqi, Dr.Nasar Jasim al Sane - Former MP Kuwait, Scholar Shaikh Ahmad AlDabboos.

Heads of many Indian and foreign Associations in Kuwait also expressed their sincere condolences. Maulana Umar Falahi of Jamiatul Falah, Maulana Sana ulla Umri, Shareef P.T.-KIG President, Hidayat ulla - Secretary of FIMA, Md. Abdul Haneef - former Secretary FIMA, Masood Shihab former President of IMA and Sharafuddin Soofi Vice Presient of IMA also expressed their condolences and hailed the writing skills and his contribution in the field of literature. They added that the books Maulana wrote are inspirational.

Famous poet Maulana Masood Hassas presented an impressive poem praising the work of late Maulana Jalauddin Umri. The program began with the recitation of the Glorious Qur’an by Tayyab Bawazeer. The event was convened by Maulana Waleed Umri. The meeting concluded with the remarks and condolence message by IMA President Mr. Shamvil Parvez.
