A day on which we make cards for our teachers and celebrate it, the day on which we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, yes, it is Teachers’ Day. It is celebrated on 5th September every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was the 2nd President of India.

“A teacher plants the seed of knowledge, sprinkles them with love and patiently nurtures their growth to produce tomorrow’s dreams.”

Teaching is the noblest profession in the world. Teachers play a very important role in every student’s life. They share us their knowledge and lead us through the right path. They are our pillars of strength. We must respect them not only on this day, but every day.

So, like everyone, even I have a favourite teacher. And her name is Mrs. Amrutha. She is the best teacher I have ever seen in my life. She was my science teacher who taught me in my 5th and 6th grade. She taught me the concepts in the best way I can ever imagine. She not only taught me what was there in the book but also moral values and how to live a life. She would never scold any students instead speak to them in a calm manner. I feel myself lucky to have been in her class.

There are some other teachers as well who have played a significant role in my life like Mrs. Shubhanghini Ma’am, Mrs. Anjana Ma’am, Mrs. Shilu Ma’am, Mrs. Archana Ma’am, Mrs. Sheena Ma’am and Mrs. Manju Ma’am. I would like to extend my gratitude and thanks to all my teachers. Each one of you have inspired me a lot….

Happy Teachers’ Day to all my beloved teachers.
