1220 violations registered in Khaitan campaign

A security check by cordon the Khaitan area on Wednesday resulted in registering about 1,220 violations. The campaign was held to check all cars to scrutiny and technical examination on the instructions of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lieutenant-General Anwar Al-Barjas, and under the supervision and presence of the Assistant Undersecretary for Operations and Traffic Sector Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, and Director of the Department of the Interior The technical examination, Brigadier General Mishaal Al-Suwaiji.

Majority of the violations were the expiration of the driver’s license, or the vehicle’s license, and related to vehicles conditions of security and durability, such as worn out tires.

The motorists have to carry out periodic maintenance, in terms of tires, general paint and smoke emission, because of their impact on the environment and making annoying noises, and the lack of lighting, officials said. Similar campaign will continue in all areas in coming days, they said.
