St. Basil Orthodox Christian Movement Blood Donation Drive in cooperation with Blood Donors Kerala Kuwait Chapter

St. Basil Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM), youth wing of St. Basil Indian Orthodox Church, Kuwait and Blood Donors Kerala Kuwait Chapter organized a collaborative blood donation drive at Kuwait Central Blood Bank, Jabriya. The camp was held on July 15, 2022, from 01:00 PM to 04:00 PM and it witnessed an impressive turnout of 52 donors from various parts of Kuwait.

The Camp was formally inaugurated by the vicar of the Church, Fr. Mathew M Mathew by donating blood, setting the right model for the fellow brethren. He has lauded the efforts of St. Basil Orthodox Youth Movement, the Youth Wing of St. Basil Indian Orthodox Church for the social commitment demonstrated by organizing such socio-welfare event like blood donation. Jiji George (Joint Secretary, St. Basil OCYM) and Jayan Sadasivan BDK have felicitated the gathering. St. Basil Indian Orthodox Church’s Trustee M.C. Varghese, Acting Secretary Samuel Varghese and St. Basil OCYM’s Vice President, Jinu Abraham have attended the inaugural meeting.

The meeting was greeted by Shyju (Secretary, St. Basil OCYM). Blood Donors Kerala Kuwait Chapter has handed mementos to representatives from the St. Basil OCYM for a successful camp.All the blood donors who attended the camp received certificates. BEC Exchange, Badr Al Samaa Medical Center and Indian Express Restaurant sponsored the event. Jithin Jose BDK gave the visitors and blood donors a vote of appreciation. The event was coordinated by the BDK and OCYM volunteers.

BDK volunteers Venugopal, Manoj Mavelikkara, Nalinakshan, Jolly, Beena, Yamuna Reghubal, Giby George, Sreekumar, Joby, Niyas, Unnikrishnan, Premkiran,Jan. V. Anil along with St. Basil OCYM volunteers Iype P.V., Aby Oommen, James, Robin Sam, Reji Mathai have offered voluntary service for the successful execution of the camp.
