IES Enlightens the Budding Business Minds

Indian Education School, Kuwait, organized a Business Talk, availing an opportunity for the students to open their eyes to the vast and diverse world of business. It was held on 7 June 2022, in the school auditorium, under the aegis of the Department of Commerce. The interactive session highlighted the intellectual acumen and business interests to diversify the perspectives of the students. The speaker of the day was Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman of Bhavans Middle East, has been a true visionary, triumphant banker, thriving entrepreneur, and successful business tycoon.

The talk show commenced with the introduction of the event by Sai Varun Menon and Shivya Harichella of Grade 12. A warm welcome was extended by Rachel Susan of Grade 12. This business talk was initiated for the benefit of the students of Grades 11 and 12 and was held in the presence of the Vice Principals of Indian Education School, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Mr. Binoy Mathew, and the teachers of IES.

The true educationist, Mr. N.K. Ramachandran Menon enlightened the minds of the listeners with his clear ideas and thoughts that hold behind his every endeavour. He reiterated the idea that he believed in making a business successful through sheer determination and smart work. The most important reflection he shared was that business is not only investing money but dedicating oneself with one’s time and confidence. He exhorted the budding business minds to invest in their unique capabilities rather than dealing with something peripheral. He emphasized that the growth of a business depends solely on the focussed aim and vision of the entrepreneur. He opined firmly that one needs to invest the capital to establish the firm and conquer any hurdle that comes along the way. In addition, he shared his notion of success as one that never has a full stop, instead one that moves on to the next, as if on a ladder. During the session, he even reminded the listeners that dreams happen in sleep, but vision unfolds in consciousness.

The exciting and high-profile initiative witnessed astute students delve deep into matters of great interest and importance and they enthusiastically interacted with the Guest Speaker. The teachers facilitated the discussions with their ideas. The session concluded with Mr. Susanth K V, a faculty of the Department of Commerce, proposing the vote of thanks wherein he highlighted that the success of a business depends on making the right decision at the right moment. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Samuel Hani Mod, Subject Coordinator of the Department of Commerce.
