KEA Kannur Honoured White Feather Warriors

When the whole world reeled under an unknown enemy, covid virus, killing young and old alike, the Healthcare workers did not deter from their determination to annihilate the virus and save humanity from the clutches of death. So, it was a coincidence that Kannur expats association Kuwait honoured the white feather warriors on the day of 'World Nurses Day'. From 800 nurses who work in various hospitals in Kuwait, only 50 were shortlisted to receive the honour. The selected ones were welcomed by Rohit and Devika with the musical procession .

In the glittering gathering held at mangaf memories auditorium KEA president Sherine Mathew presided over the function. Dr. Ameer Ahmed, Indian Docotor's Forum, was the Chief guest. Dr.Susovana Sujit Nair, Medical oncologist, KCC, expressed her appreciation of the service rendered by nurses during covid. The Chief guest gave away certificate of honour to the nurses followed by cultural extraveganza by DKWorld and Mohiniyattam by Unnimaya. The function was attended by representatives of various organisations in Kuwait.

General Secretary Dominic welcomed the gathering. Jayakumari, Santhosh Kumar, Anup, Sonia ,Roy, Prakashan spoke on the ocassion. Finance secretary Hareendran, in his vote of thanks, expressed great joy and thanked every one for making this event a great success.
