Labor shortage cause long queues at gas stations across the country. The reduction of up to 50% of workers at petrol station outlets forced some pumps to reduce the number of pumps operating in the stations, which resulted in long queues at gas stations, reports indicated.

According to Abdul-Hussain Al-Sultan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Ola” Fuel Marketing Company, Since the Corona crisis, they are not able to bring workers from abroad, and are forced to use the available local labor in Kuwait. However the local labors are not qualified or trained to work in this profession.

The gas stations are finding alternatives such as increasing the self-service pumps, etc to resolve the long queues, sources said.
