Move to replace expatriate workers with bedoun in private sector

Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) to launch ‘Tayseer’ platform to recruit illegal residents (bedoun) in the private sector to replace expatriate workers, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Quoting Director-General of the authority, Ahmed Al-Mousa, daily reported that the launch of the platform to register bedoun job seekers in the private sector comes in coordination with the Central Agency for Addressing the Situation of Illegal Residents. Al-Mousa added the platform is an institutional mechanism to regulate the participation of illegal residents in the labor market in a more positive and effective manner to create more job opportunities for them.

The aim is to replace the expatriate workers with bedoun in order to preserve the demographic structure, protect the rights of bedoun under the umbrella of the law, and provide them with adequate benefit through these opportunities, in line with their qualifications
