1,020 traffic violations in Jleeb within two hours

The traffic campaign by the Ministry of Interior in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area on Wednesday resulted in issuing 1,020 direct violations within two hours. The violations ranging from expired driving licenses, expired vehicle registration, car window tinting, making annoying sounds and changing the fundamental appearance of the car.

The campaign was held under the instructions from the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant-General Anwar Al-Barjas, and in the presence and supervision of the Undersecretary of the Traffic Sector, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, and his assistants, General Managers, Brigadier General Khaled Mahmoud and Fawaz Al-Khaled.

The Jleeb area was cordoned off and checkpoints were put in the entry and exit points of Jleeb area. The campaign issued 1,020 direct violations in just two hours.

During the campaign, authorities also arrested 10 expatriates whose residencies expired several years ago. Few expatriates were also arrested as arrest warrant was presence in their name.
