AMU Old Boys’ Association Kuwait Celebrated Eid Milan on 4th May 2022

Eid-ul-fitr a festival of love, peace and brotherhood comes after the 30 days of fasting during Ramadan, a month of blessings and forgiveness.
Moment of joy and happiness, wishing each other and hugging while forgetting enmity is the sight can be seen everywhere. Fancy clothes, parties, sweet delicacies, giving of money as a gift to children is the way of celebrate the festival of Eid. Thus the celebration of Eid is unique in itself.

This year AMUOBA Kuwait celebrated Eid-Ul-Fitr with their fellow Aligs, and representatives of other associations and guests in Rajdhani Palace Restaurant, Khaitan.
Mr. Asif Equbal welcomed the guests with his short speech and started the program. He thanks the previous AMUOBA team members for their efforts and contribution to bring it up to this level.

Recitation of holy Quran by Master Syed Ammar Zaidi and Samia Adil. Hamd (poetic recitation in praise of Allah) by Saquaiba Rashidi and Naat (poetic recitation in praise of our beloved Prophet Mohammad PBUH) by Master Musasdique Rashidi was well appreciated by the audience.

President Mr. Aslam Parvez delivered his speech welcoming the respected senior alumni, all the Aligs and all guests. He highlighted the programs & initiatives AMUOBA is currently working on and emphasized on taking AMUOBA to new heights under his able leadership along with enthusiastic & dedicated Team members.
Motivational speech by Mr. Abdullah Hasan Thakur CEO and Co-founder of DC VC fund UK/USA; emphasizing the need of being uncomfortable to bring change in yourself as well as the society.

In order to entertain and keep the audience glued, EC Member Syed Ameer Abbas came up with a comic poetry. The poetry was a masterpiece of famous poet Adil Lucknowi but the presentation of Ameer was absolutely humorous. Later Mr. Jamil Akhtar Sr.Consultant- MEW delivered his speech in the backdrop of how to live a healthy life while following religion.

There was amazing poetry by Mrs. Rama Abid, she entertained the audience with her excellent piece of poetry.Mother, it’s not a simple word, it’s a whole universe. Happy or sad the first word which comes on our tongue is mother. Mr. Qaiser make everyone miss their mother by a couplets followed by Naat in light of the upcoming “mother day”.

There were a variety of games organized by Mr. Mohammad Khurseed Anwer and his wife Mrs. Zaheen Akhtar. These games were center of attraction not only for children but for their parents. Everyone enjoyed the games & wanted to be the part of it.There were special gifts for the winners of all the games, participants of Qirat as well as Naat.Goodie packets were given to all the children attended the function.At the end of the program Dr. Iram Chaudhry (VP of AMUOBA) delivered the vote of thanks.
The efforts of all the members of association- Mr.Ahtesham Ullah Khan, Mr. Taqui Hasan, Mr.Kashif Hussain and Mr. Shahid Kalam were commendable. Rest of Team members of AMUOBA were on Eid vacation, however they also contributed in one way or the other towards success of the event.

The event was coordinated by Mr. Asif Equbal (Jt. Secretary) with the team members and other volunteers, their contribution and dedication towards the responsibility assigned was worthy of praise.Likewise the program cannot be a success without the contribution of the sponsors. They are the silent but effective partners in the success story of any program. We are grateful to them for being a part of our program.

The program was conducted by Mrs. Shazia Mansoor in an effective manner.

The program was well appreciated by the alumni of the association and the rest of the audience who attended the program. AMUOBA Kuwait ought to cater to the overall development of the association and to bring all the alumni together. We strive to make AMUOBA Kuwait a known organization to the entire world. We try to live up to the wording of our Tarana (University anthem)
‘Jo abr yahan se uthega woh saare jahan par barsega’.
