Bhavans IES Organizes RAHMA 2022

In the pursuit of indoctrinating social solidarity in the minds of the students, Bhavans Indian Education School, Kuwait, celebrates all the festivities. So, to mark the ‘Thanksgiving Day’, on the eve of Eid-al-Fitr, under the aegis of the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, IES organized an Eid-al-Fitr get-together, christened ‘RAHMA 2022,’ with all its sanctity and solemnity, on a virtual platform.

The ineffaceable moments of the celebration commenced at 3.30 p.m. on a solemn note with the recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran by Abdulhadi Qadeer Ahmad of 8D, Ahmed Hussain of 8D, Jalaludeen Akbar of 8F and Hafa Sajid of 2B followed by the singing of the Kuwait National Anthem. The indelible event had a plethora of activities to celebrate the auspicious occasion. A video presentation on ‘Five Pillars of Islam’ enriched the audience with the deep knowledge on which the religion of Islam is instituted. Abdullah Usman of 9C, Mifzal Abdul Gafoor of 8G, Abhijith Sujith Krishna of 6A, Amanah Imtiaz Kazi of 5C, and Prisha Prabhakara Shetty of 7A delivered short speeches on the importance of Eid and Ramadan, and the significance of Zakat making everyone aware of the customs and traditions related to the holy month of Ramadan and Eid celebration.

A video of a dialogue session in the mosque, enacted by the students, was another informative session that enlightened the beholders with a deep understanding of the reward of fasting, observing abstinence, and bequeathing. To make the event a distinctive one, there was an enthralling dance performed by the students of grade 7 and the excited audience tapped their feet to the tune of the Eid song. The chanting of Takbeerat-Al-Eid by the students of grade 4 was yet another attraction of the event. The quiz on the significance of Ramadan, conducted by Mr. Jabir Hassan, a faculty member of the department of Islamic Studies, added the elements of interactivity and gusto to the programme. Mr. Qadeer Ahmad, the father of Abdulhadi Qadeer Ahmad of 8D, delivered the message on tolerance and urged everyone to educate themselves to accommodate all religions and their beliefs and not to discriminate people based on their caste, creed, and colour.

Ms. Amira Guda, the Administrative Manager, Bhavans Kuwait, extended warm wishes to all the Bhavanites on the blessed occasion of Eid. Mr. N. K. Ramachandran Menon, Chairman, Bhavans Middle East, wished everyone good health, prosperity, and peace on the joyous occasion of Eid. On behalf of the Principal, Mr T. Premkumar, Ms. Meenakshi Nayyar, Vice-Principal (Senior Wing), Mr. Binoy Mathew, Vice-Principal (Middle Wing) and Ms. Muneera Mammikutty, Headmistress, extended Eid greetings to all the celebrants of the special event. Ms. Muneera Mammikutty, the Headmistress, proposed the vote of thanks. The virtual event was wrapped up with the singing of the Indian National Anthem. The emcees for the day were Misba Kazim Parkar of 9A, Barakah Sahim of 9A and Yusuf Shameem of 6D.
