MoI arrested 15 people, including kids, for begging

Authorities arrested 15 people, accompanied by children while begging in different places in the country.

The General Department of Relations and Security Media at the Ministry of Interior stated that the security follow-up of the General Department of Residency Affairs arrested 15 people, including Jordanian, Syrian and Sri Lankan nationalities, for begging and their children.

Legal measures have been taken against them persons, and a case of neglect also registered against care for the minor. They were referred to the competent authorities, and their sponsors were summoned to take legal measures against them.

The administration explained that the Ministry of Interior is making all efforts to combat the phenomenon of begging and urged the public to report such activity by calling the emergency phone 112.
