Monday, January 24, 2022

The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Manpower will hold a meeting today to take a final call on the issue of renewing work permits for expatriates who have reached the age of 60 and do not hold university degrees.

According to sources, there is a consensus among the members that the prescribed fee should be 250 dinars instead of 500.

In addition to this, sources reported that as the health insurance by 'Daman' will be in place by next year, there may be a chance that the 60+ expats not required to take separate private insurance.

The cost of health insurance for residents with the Health Insurance Hospitals Company 'Daman', set at 130 dinars for one year, will include all age groups of residents, including those over 60 years old. 'Daman' insurance will cover all health services provided in the government sector, but free of charge.
