Corona infection in Kuwait on the decline

Kuwait on Sunday said 4,503 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, taking the country's caseload to 465,331, health ministry data showed.

For the past three days, the number of daily cases is showing a minor decline as the country reported 4883 cases on 13th January, 4881 cases on 14th, 4517 cases on 15th an on 16th country register 4503 cases.

Some 2,243 more people recovered from the virus to up the number of those to have overcome the disease to 421,442. according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, adding that the recovery to positive case ratio stands at 90.6 percent.

One fatality linked to the virus upped the country's death toll from the pandemic to 2,476, while 277 people are hospitalized with the virus, 26 of whom need intensive care, he told KUNA.

Some 31,133 swab tests were conducted over the last day, out of a total of 6,445,278 so far, added the spokesman.
