MMF Kuwait holds farewell for Sam Pynummoodu

Malayali Media Forum (MMF), Kuwait held a farewell gathering for writer, media person and social activist Mr. Sam Pynummoodu and his wife Mrs. Valsa Sam who are leaving Kuwait for good after 42 years of expatriate life.

“I am leaving with absolute contentment”, said Sam in his acknowledging speech. He added that four decades of expatriate life has made him who he is today, and mentioned the key role played by the progressive movement and cultural organization KALA in his personality and growth. General convenor Sajeev K. Peter presided over the meeting that was held at Chef Naushad Restaurant Auditorium, Farwaniya. He noted that Sam Pynummoodu has created an indelible impression on the community through his dynamic involvement during his expatriate life.

Convenors Nixon George and Jalin Thripayar gave the welcome address and vote of thanks respectively. A parting gift was presented to Sam by the office bearers on behalf of MMF. Felicitation speeches were given by A.M.Hassan, Siddique Valiyakath, Musthafa, Sathar Kunnil, T.V. Hikmath and Gafoor Moodady.
