Kala(Art) Kuwait Announce “NIRAM 2021” Online Painting Competition Winners

Kala(Art) Kuwait Office Bearers has announced the winners of “NIRAM 2021” Children’s Day online painting competition held on 12th November 2021, in a press meet held on 26th December 2021 at Badr Al-Samaa Clinic Hall, Farwaniya. In the context and limitation of Covid-19, students were participated the competition from their own home using the current technologies.

Kala (Art) Kuwait was delighted to celebrate its 17th consecutive year of “NIRAM”, an event which has been conducted on the occasion of Children’s Day, the birth day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. It is worthwhile to note that students of different nationalities from all 24 Indian Schools in Kuwait with active participation of more than 2700 children in the competition. The competition was held in four groups in drawing and painting.

Winners of Painting Competition titled “NIRAM 2021” have been adjudged by well-known Artists in Kuwait, Mr. Sasi Krishnan, Mr. John Mavelikkara and Mr. Sunil Kulanada appointed by the Executive Committee of “Kala(Art) Kuwait”. The prize distribution of winners (1st, 2nd & 3rd Prizes) will be done at Indian Embassy premises, on Tuesday, 28th December 2021 at 5:00pm.

Lists of Winners are being released by the organizers as follows:

Overall Championship: 1st Position- Learners Own Academy, Abbassiya, 2nd Position - Smart Indian School, Abbasiya, 3rd Position- IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, Abbassiya.

C. Bhaskaran Memorial Trophy as a tribute to Late. Mr. C Bhaskaran, one of the founder and advisory board member of Kala (Art) Kuwait, won by Learners Own Academy, the school from which maximum numbers of students were participated in this event.

Group-A: Ist Prize- Abigail Marium Philip, 1st Std, Smart Indian School, IInd Prize- Gayatri Laiju, 1st Std, Indian Community School Jr., Salmiya, IIIrd Prize- Dhanishtha Ghosh, 1st Std, Integrated Indian School.

Group-B: Ist Prize- Sarah Jessica George, 4th Std., Smart Indian School, IInd Prize- Hana Ancy, 3rd Std., Indian School of Excellence, Salmiya & Lakshmika Shanlas, 2nd Std., Learners Own Academy, IIIrd Prize- Abhirami Nithin, 2nd Std., Smart Indian School.

Group-C: Ist Prize- Sreyas Vemulavada, 6th Std., Learners Own Academy. IInd Prize- Naveenkrish Sajiesh, 6th Std, Learners Own Academy, IIIrd Prize- Sivesh Senthilkumar, 8th Std., Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian private School & Jenna Mary Jobin, 8th Std, Learners Own Academy.

Group-D: Ist Prize- Asim Mujeeb Rahiman, 12th Std., Learners Own Academy. IInd Prize- Ann Niya Jose, 9th Std., Indian Community School, Amman & Aneeta Sarah Shiju, 9th Std, India International School, Mangaf, IIIrd Prize- Ann Sarah Shiju, 10th Std., India International School & Malav Mehulkumar Solanki, 11th Std., Learners Own Academy.

Clay Sculpture: Ist Prize- Sarangi Smitha Sunil, 12th Std., Indian Community School Sr., Salmiya. IInd Prize- Ann Treesa Tony, 8th Std., Indian Community School, Khaitan. IIIrd Prize- Harini Mahadevan, 11th Std., Indian Community School Sr., Salmiya & Jalaluddeen Akbar, 7th Std. IES-Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan.

The organizers announced that the entire winners list consisting 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 66 Merit Prizes as well as 164 Consolation Prizes (Total 250 Prizes) have already been forwarded to all participated Schools and also be made available at our website www.kalakuwait.net.

Kala(Art) Kuwait, highlights the exclusive prizes for the winners as first place with Gold Coin & gold medal, second place with silver medal and third place with bronze medal along with memento & certificate. Certificate for the Merit and Consolation prize winners as well as the Participation Certificates to all other participants will be sent by email.

Kala(Art) Kuwait congratulated all the Winners and also thanked all the participants and the School Managements for their wholehearted support to make the event as a great success, even during this pandemic situation.
