KDD Kuwait Badminton League 2021 Kicks Off

IBAK’s prestigious Badminton Tournament and Kuwait’s lone Badminton League KDD Kuwait badminton League has kicked off. Tournament was inaugurated on Thursday December 16 2021 by Mr. Sajeeb Musleemveetil (QA Audit Lead, KDD) in the presence of Dr.Manimarachozhan (Chairman - IBAK), Mr.Chandrahas KT (President - IBAK & KBL), Mr.Aneesh Abraham (General Secretary – IBAK), Mr.Ajayakumar Vasudevan (Vice President – KBL) and other distinguished guests.
KDD Kuwait Badminton League was started in 2015 by Indian Badminton Association Kuwait (IBAK) and soon become popular and attained the stature of The Premium badminton league in the country. IBAK’s KDD KBL 2021 is the sixth successful edition of this significant tournament. This time around, IBAK spectators will admire the clash of six Titans. KDD Kuwait Badminton League 2021 will witness the clash of six mega teams named KKR Killers, Thanjai Ninjas, TEAM 5.30, Dragons, ISA Kuwait and Victor. Each team consists of top ranked players in Kuwait. Each tie is fought over five categories like one Men’s Professional Doubles, two Men’s Open doubles, one advance men’s doubles and one Mixed doubles.

Inaugural function was followed by round robin league matches on Thursday and continued on Friday. Badminton lovers of Kuwait enjoyed the breathtaking matches between the teams in a five-match tie. Many budding talents displayed excellent badminton skills in KDD KBL 2021 while the senior players showcased stunning performance proving that they have many years fuel left.

Round Robin League witnessed excellent matches between equally talented players. After completion of round robin league, Teams Victor, Thanjai Ninjas, ISA Kuwait and KKR Killers qualified for Semifinal matches of KDD KBL 2021. Semifinal matches will be held on Friday 24th December. KKR Killers will play Victor in first Semifinals while ISA Kuwait will play Thanjai Ninjas in second Semifinals. The winners of Semifinals will clash in finals for the tittle.
IBAK cordially invite all the badminton lovers in Kuwait to witness the Semi Final and Final matches of KDD KBL 2021 which will be held in IBAK Salwa Gym on December 24th 9.00 am onwards. Semifinal matches will start at 9.00 am followed by Final match at 11.00 am on Friday the 24th December 2021.
