FAIPS -DPS Deputy Student Council: Grooming Future Leaders

The young minds of today are the future of tomorrow. The prosperity and well-being of a nation depend on the strength and ability of its leaders. FAIPS DPS believes in grooming its future leaders by empowering them through the student council. Keeping up with this glorious tradition the Class 11 students were entrusted with leadership responsibilities in the newly elected Deputy Council 2021-22’ in the Investiture ceremony held on Friday, 12th of November, 2021 on the MS Teams platform.

The auspicious ceremony commenced with the recital of verses from the Holy Quran followed by its translation. The convention signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the new office bearers. The Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, who presided over the function led the morning prayer.

In line with the earlier investiture events, the Head of Physical Education department, Ms. Subbulatha Ramachandran introduced the council members. The parents were then, invited to pin the badges to their wards. Their eyes gleamed with joy and pride as they did the honours. The new office bearers were formally inducted into the council when they repeated the Oath administered by the principal. In his speech he guided the Student Council members to be the role models and render their responsibilities sincerely as the nation builders of tomorrow. He congratulated the new appointees and reiterated the significance of setting priorities and take responsibilities with Integrity, Inspiration and Insight.

The school without a doubt believes in its young leaders to protect and consolidate the values and ideals its teachers and students stand for.

The New Council for the Year 2021—22;

The new Vice Head Boys, Kavin Balamurali and Kurian Thomas, and Vice Head Girls, Christeen Chacko and Niharika Suresh in their impeccable uniform and ceremonial sash accepted the baton of leadership from their outgoing counterparts viz. Head boys Aariz Ahmed and Debangan Mishra and the Head girls, Sanjana Ravindranath and Aarthi Sashidharan who wished them well. It was, indeed, a splendid sight to behold. The new incumbents, in their respective speeches promised to uphold the dignity of position and work for the betterment of the school

The Vice Principal Mrs Vineeta Munshi in her Vote of thanks congratulated the new members and thanked the dedicated efforts of teachers who worked behind the scenes to make this event a grand one. The school song and the Indian National Anthem marked the culmination of the programme.
