“Public Speaking is the Art of Diluting a 1 Minute Idea with One Hour Lexicon”
To develop articulation skills among students and to instill confidence in them to address a wider audience, the Embassy of India in Kuwait conducted ‘The Ambassador’s Cup Elocution Competition’ on 13th August, 2021 at the Embassy Auditorium for Indian students in Kuwait.

Astrel Jeslin D’Souza of class X from FAIPS stole the scene by winning the First position in Category I for students from classes IX and X while Sai Harshita Adivi, FAIPS student from Class XI, successfully secured the third place in Category II , comprising participants from classes XI and XII .It was indeed astounding to see how beautifully students had put their thoughts, insights, humour and delivered the speech of consciousness which was fluent, erudite and articulate while being unscripted.

Students were asked to pick and speak on a topic through a draw of lots out of the nine topics initially mailed to them. The parameter of the judgement was based on the organization of thoughts and ideas, mode of delivery and exploration of the subject in all its facets. FAIPS (DPS) students Astrel and Harshita presented their thoughts on the given topic, with utmost conviction and cogency thereby impressing the judges in the above- specified criteria.

The winners were felicitated with trophies in a ceremony organized on 2nd October at the Indian Embassy on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The Principal, Mr. Ravi Ayanoli, congratulated the students for representing the school and making a mark at such an esteemed platform.

Kudos to the winners!
