20 offices seized and 60 people arrested over fake domestic recruitment office

The Department of Public Relations and Security Media at the Ministry of Interior stated that in continuation of the campaigns carried out by the Residence Affairs Sector to control violators of the Residence Law, and the fake domestic worker's offices, the team arrested an Asian resident who runs a fake maid office in Hawally Governorate.

According to report, the man was sheltering run-away domestic workers and employing them under the temporary work system. The team also arrested a number of domestic workers who were run-away from their sponsors and working under these fake offices. According to report, one of the domestic worker was pregnant at the time of arrest.

According to the statistics, in the month of October, authorities seized 20 fake domestic worker offices and arrested 60 violators.
