Shreekara World Foundation (SWF) Kuwait organized Beach Cleaning Q8 drive

Shreekara World Foundation (SWF), Kuwait had organized Beach Cleaning Q8 drive for a noble social cause of environment protection initiated by on Marina Beach, Salmiya, Kuwait on Friday, 15th October 2021. The event was organized to mark 75th Anniversary of Indian independence and 60thAnniversary of India – Kuwait diplomatic ties and from a perspective of imbibing the importance of environment protection and cleanliness in present and future generations. Another objective was to give back to the society we live in.

The event was attended by more than 50 participants including 10 children from four nationalities and total trash of 12 bags of 50 gallons capacity each was collected consisting of majorly plastic bottles, plastic packaging material, bottle caps, and tissue papers. Top of the list was Cigarette butts (total 1900 pieces collected)- which are the biggest sea pollutants.

Shreekara World Foundation plans to organize more events and are soon beginning with the “SWF Lecture Series”, covering many topics of relevance and importance.
