MEW Installed 3,400 smart meters replacing old electricity meters

Ministry of Electricity and Water installed 3,400 smart meters since the inauguration of the project to install smart meters in the country last Sunday, at a rate of about 680 meters per day, head of the Smart Meter Installation Team at MEW Eng. Malouh Al-Ajmi informed.

As soon as the meter is replaced, the team enters old reading into the system and issues an invoice to the owner of the facility or building to pay the amounts owed by him, in preparation for converting the new meters to the prepaid system in the coming days.
