Egyptian expatriate rescued while attempting to commit suicide from Sheikh Jaber Bridge

Security men, with the help of firefighters and ambulances, managed to rescue an Egyptian expatriate, who attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the Sheikh Jaber Bridge on Tuesday evening.

According to report, the Egyptian expatriate came in a taxi and told the taxi driver to stop over the bridge, then got out of the car and jumped. The taxi driver immediately alerted the the Ministry of Interior, where the security, firefighters and medical emergency personnel attended the call. The man fell on the muddy area and was rescued and was taken to the hospital.

Local daily reported the authorities will deport the Egyptian expatriate after his treatment is over.
