Into The Light Once Again

So beautiful,
So mesmerizing,
Looking into her eyes,
She looked so peaceful, so safe.
Almost like the world was alright.
God, I wish I could feel like she looks
Her life has had ups and downs
But she keeps going
Trying to be strong
Trying not to break
Always with a beautiful smile on her face
I don’t know why but I feel like I have to protect her
Before she completely fades away,
I have to keep the smile on her face
I was looking into her sleeping face,
She was familiar to me, perhaps like a long lost sister
Who never existed.
I must’ve seen her face in my dream,
A dream in which I never wished to wake up,
A dream where I was reaching the end of the dark tunnel,
The dark tunnel of loneliness with light outside it
So relaxing, and I woke up by the light coming into my room, saying,
‘Don’t be depressed about the past,
Don’t worry about the future,
And just focus on today.
There’s always a new chance to try again ?’
