Namaste Kuwait- Glimpses of Timeless India Art Exhibition concluded

Rekindling of Timeless Journey towards a Dynamic Partnership between India and Kuwait culminated here on Thursday at Kuwait Arts Association hall with a mesmerizing performance by Indian artist, which was witnessed by a large number of Kuwaitis, diplomats and Community members.

The 11-day long Timeless Journey of Glimpses of India on canvas by Ms Joice Sibi coupled with mesmerizing performances by talented Indian artists further broadened the rich canvas of cultural engagement and further strengthening already close civilizational affinities and linkages. The grand finale was attended by His Excellency Mr Abdul Rasoul Salman, President, Kuwait Arts Association. Ambassador Shri Sibi George felicitated Mr Abdul Rasoul Salman with a shawl during the event.



"For the last ten days, we have been witnessing extravaganza performed by our highly talented cultural artists. I also believe the exhibition and performance proved to be a remarkable cultural event between India and Kuwait," Ambassador Shri Sibi George said in his remarks during the grand finale. This year we celebrate a unique confluence of two important milestones. The year 2021 marks the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Kuwait. This is an important milestone in our shared journey towards a shared history of sustainable progress, development and prosperity of the peoples of our two friendly countries. And this year, we, in India, celebrate the 75th Independence Day of India, Ambassador said.



Ambassador thanked all the Indian Community Associations, Community members and all the Indian artists and children who have joined hands in this effort to showcase Indian culture and heritage at the Cultural Festival.



Earlier last week, His Excellency Mr Kamel Abdul Jalil, Secretary-General, National Council of Culture, Arts and Letters, State of Kuwait, inaugurated the event. In addition, several dignitaries, including Her Excellency Sheikha Hanoof Bader Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, spouse of HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Members of the International Women's Group, Ambassadors of various countries, visited the art exhibition and cultural performances during the 11-day.
