ASSP Kuwait Chapter wins Prestigious Platinum Award from ASSP USA

American Society of Safety Professionals, Kuwait Chapter (ASSP – KC) an ISO 9001:2015 certified non-profit organization is committed to the advancement of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) practices among the Industrial sectors and social groups in Kuwait.

ASSP Kuwait chapter have been awarded the prestigious Platinum award organized by American Society of Safety Professionals – USA under the annual recognition program organized every year and the entire chapters around the world participate in this program. The platinum chapter designation is awarded to chapters that meet rigorous standards of excellence as established by ASSP. They are considered to be strong role models for other chapters to emulate.

ASSP Kuwait Chapter has been winning this platinum award consecutively for the fourth year, Kuwait Chapter is the only chapter had made this great achievement in the entire GCC , Middle East and Asia. Not only these region outside USA.

The recognition ceremony was organized on virtual platform recently and platinum chapters were recognized across all the regions.

Speaking to the Media Eng Fadhel Al Ali , Chairman ASSP Kuwait Chapter said “ This award reflects the recognition of Kuwait Chapters efforts and hard work in commitment to advancement of HSE in the State of Kuwait. He thanked the ASSP Board members and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its Subsidaries, All the chapter partners and sponsors from private sector companies especially the recent major sponsors like Reliance World Wide Catering, EQUATE , Exhibitors for the continuous support and participation in the chapter activities.




He also extended his special thanks to chapter’s endorsing , Supporting international bodies like BCSP, NEBOSH, GDA, IADC and participants of ASSP GCC HSE Excellence Award program.

Mr. Jahid Thakor the President of Kuwait Chapter said “ The award is special and it shows the professionalism of the Leaders the members . he dedicated the award for all the 600 plus Chapter members in the region, He added that the chapter plays an important role to enhance HSE profession in Kuwait and develop HSE leaders among the chapter members. He also assured that ASSE Kuwait Chapter would keep coming with innovative programs and concepts in the year to come which will benefit the society and the Industry”
