Indian Embassy organised "Made in India" exhibition to promote Indian products in Kuwait

In a bid to boost the export of Indian products in Kuwait, the Embassy of India organised a "Made in India" exhibition at the Embassy premises. The exhibition, which gave a real taste of India to the visitors, was attended by diplomats, Ambassadors of several countries, Kuwaiti dignitaries and the business community. The exhibition was inaugurated by Amiri Diwan Undersecretary Mazin Al-Essa and Ambassador Shri Sibi George. First Secretary Smt Smitha Patil welcomed all dignitaries.

"With this Exhibition, the Embassy wishes to showcase to all our friends of India in Kuwait the finest of India's products, a sample of India’s technological prowess and engineering marvel," Ambassador Shri Sibi George said while inaugurating the exhibition. "It’s a slice of New, Resurgent India that is on display in this beautiful setting that we have, which has in turned been tailored to meet COVID-19 protocols and guideline," he said.

Ambassador also spoke about various initiatives by the government of India to boost domestic and foreign investments in India.

Several Indian products were displayed in various stalls set up by the business community in Kuwait. Products ranging from Indian automobiles such as Tata, Mahindra, Royal Enfield to Indian FMCG products, Jewellery, Food products, etc were on display at the event.

Cultural performances from different parts of India, performed by the local talents, added colours to the exhibition. To mark the 'Azadi ka amrut mahotsav' - 75th year of India's independence, the famous Indian restaurant in Kuwait Mughal Mahal arranged 75 Indian dishes on a 75-foot long table at the exhibition site.

The exhibition will continue on Wednesday, September 15th, also and the entry is by invitation. Embassy is aiming to invite the Kuwaiti business community to witness Indian products to boost the Indian exports to Kuwait with this expo.
