Janmashtami is celebrated by the Hindus for the birth of Lord Krishna. It is a joyful festival which is celebrated mostly in August. Lord Krishna is and Avtar of Lord Vishnu and is one of the most powerful Gods. Lord Krishna was born in Mathura to Devki and Vasudeva. And later Vasudeva gave him to his friend Nandraja and his wife Yashoda who took care of him as his foster parents to save him from Kansa. During childhood Lord Krishna used to steal Makhan as he was fond of eating Makhan. So, he was named as ‘Natkahat Nand Lal’. Lord Krishna was born in the dark so Janmashtami is celebrated in mid -night. People celebrate Janmashtami with great enthusiasm as they decorate their house with lights and visit to temples. Lord Krishna was born of a special reason to the earth, that is to free the world from the evil. He also played an important role in Mahabharat which was a huge war between the Pandavas and Kauravas. Lord Krishna taught everyone many values and to respect each other. He also said in the Bhagavad Gita ‘Whatever happens in life happen for good and there is always a cause or reason behind that’. He also mentioned ‘No one that does good work will ever come to a terrible ending.’ So, I wish everyone “a very Happy Janmashtami” and always be happy.
