What was going to be yet another festive occasion overshadowed by the nightmare of the COVID-19 pandemic, turned into a reason to celebrate, a much needed breath of freshness, happiness and joy, thanks to NAFO.

Malayalees in Kuwait welcomed this Onam with renewed zest and vigour, although many of them were separated from their families and riddled with the ongoing pandemic. The Virtual Onam 2021 function organized by NAFO on Aug 27th at 10.30a.m. managed to bring the festivities into the otherwise lowkey affair.

Siddharth Sudheer marked the beginning of the celebration with the soulful rendition of the prayer. Ms.Gopika Menon with her charming and charismatic personality anchored the function and engaged the audience.

NAFO General Secretary Mr. Vijay Kumar Menon delivered the welcome address. MR. C.P.Rajiv Menon, NAFO President then addressed the gathering and conveyed his Onam wishes.
The program provided the perfect opportunity to the immensely talented youngsters of the NAFO family to showcase their dancing and singing skills.

The innovative FUN Photo contest organized to capture the essence of Onam, received an overwhelming response from the NAFO families. Mr. Krishnakumar's entry was declared the winner in the event.

Despite the challenges thrown by the pandemic, NAFO organized and successfully arranged for the delivery of the sumptuous and delectable OnaSadhya to the homes of all of its members.

The Cultural Committee Convener Mr. Unnikrishnan Kurup delivered the vote of thanks and marked the end of the celebrations. The efforts of NAFO to kindle and nurture brotherhood, unity and cultural values amongst its members is truly praiseworthy.
